Belgium has a rich history, gave several prominent persons, artists, scientists to humankind, and was always one of the richest countries of Western Europe. However if we take a look at Belgium of today, the situation looks terrible: terror attacks and insults again the native people became the part of the everyday life there. We were happy to find out that there are still people who want to fight the new world order and are musical active also. The Belgian band "Les Eburons" released a demo 2 years ago and they are now preparing for recording a new full length album. Read our interview with the guys below:
1. Hi! First of all, please let us introduce the group! Who are the members?
Glenn – Vocals
Johnny – Drums
Nico – Guitars & Bass
2. In Belgium there are not too many rightwing bands and I think You are the first NS metal/HC group. Are there any similiar bands in Belgium? Are You in contact with other Belgique musical bands?
There are the well known Les Vilains who stopped performing but we do keep in touch with them
3. How would You describe the style of music? Why did you choose this kind of agressive music?
National Socialist Hardcore/Metal. We are heavily influenced by bands like Lionheart, Sepultura, Slayer, Slipknot, Thy Art Is Murder. We choose this style of music because, first of all, we love this style and second, we feel a shift in the NS scene that tends to favor more and more Death/Hard Core. We want to work hard on our music and its details.
4. From which part of Belgium are You from?
Upnorth, in Koksijde.
5. Are You a skinhead band? Or how would You label Yourselves?
Well since two out three of the members wear long hair, we can’t call ourselves skinhead. But in anyway, we feel more like part of a national socialist movement.
6. In Belgium there are several famous hardcore bands in the "mainstream" HC scene. Do You visit that kind of concerts? Do You have contact with nonpolitical bands there? Or are they all antifas?
We may attend a HC show for the fun but it’s hard to find NS people there. Most of our contacts remain in the Oi/Skinhead scene.
7. I heard Your songs are in French; please tell us about Your identity! Do You declare Yourselves Wallons? Or Belgique?
We see ourselves as Belgians and Celts, most of all. That’s why we chose the name “Les Eburons” which used to be a Celtic, Belgian tribe. Way before the borders of the current Belgium was drawn. Because that’s what really matters in the end. Even though we are nationalist, we believe in the importance of the country, sometimes more than the nation. We are real patriots.
8. There were tensions between Flemish and Walloon people in the past within Belgium. Are there still problems?
Tension is still there. Even beyond the political level, a french speaking guy won’t always be well received upnorth. The good news is, as long as you make the effort to integrate yourself, flemish tend to be quite understanding people.
9. I was in Brussels 3 years ago and I felt that the situation in the city is hopeless for European people. What about the rest of the country? Are there regions in Belgium which are not overpopulated by noneuropeans? How do You see the current European situation in the middle of the migration crisis?
The big cities are overwhelmed but islamic immigrants. Especially Brussels and it is an identical and social disaster. Lots of injustice towards white/christian Belgians. It does feel hopeless at times but it also seems like more and more people are opening their eyes, especially after all the terrorist attacks.
10. How was Your local scenes reaction of Your music? Did they like the demo?
Our demo was very well received and our album is very much expected.
11. Please tell us about the rightwing movement in Belgium. How is the life as a nationalist in Belgium nowadays?
We have Hervé Van Laethem who is good activist and a real patriot. He is the head of a political mouvement called “Nation”. He is often neglected but more and more youngsters are listening to him. “Nation” is getting bigger every year.
12. Which bands influenced Your style?
See 3.
13. Do You listen to other NS metal or HC Bands? Are there any favourites?
You Must Murder is probably one of our favorite
14. Please tell us something about Your upcoming album! How many songs will be on it? Will You remain in Your "old" musical style?
There should be about 12 songs. Thing is we had to delay the recording because our drummer had to have a back surgery so we’ll have more news by January
15. Which record label will publish the new CD?
No info on that yet.
16. Are there any future plans with band? Maybe a 7" or a song for a sample?
Probably just a CD and releases on YouTube or other streaming platforms since our song “Destruction” got banned from YouTube.
17. Do You support any football club? What is Your opinion on football hooliganism?
We do not. We don’t have a problem with them as long as they don’t have a problem with us.
18. If somebody wants to buy band merchandise (eg. the demo), how can she/he reach You?
Via Facebook. Just send us a message.
19. Please tell us about the content of Your lyrics!
It sometimes talks about our struggle as a nationalist, as a native and as a European but also about a human being in this world. We want our music to be a psychological help for those who feel misunderstood on different levels. May it be personal or as part of a group. We feel like it’s important to set goals in life, to remember the importance of the hand-work and the construction of a family.
20. I read on the FB site of the band that You're an identitarian band. Does it mean that You support Generation Identitaire?
Yes, we do.
21. I had these questions for now, thank You for the answers and if You have something to say to the readers, this is Your turn!
We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children
